Inclusive and sustainable communities. The "Does Well" call for ideas and partners is born from the desire of the Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani to map and gather creativity and collective intelligence to improve the well-being, health, and quality of life of local communities through the development of collaborative economy initiatives that facilitate civic participation.

The Foundation aims to build an alliance with local entities engaged in local development actions with the goal of reducing inequalities of opportunity to promote the inclusive and sustainable recovery of our communities.

The emergency related to the spread of Covid-19 in Italy, besides being a health crisis, has become increasingly social and requires a thoughtful response from our entire community. The challenge that awaits us now is that of reconstruction: of relationships, services, jobs, and the regeneration of new social, cultural, and environmental value. To ensure that this commitment does not result in a multitude of stories of individual resistance and resilience, difficult to reconcile into a unity that has an impact on communities, it is necessary to build tools capable of synthesizing emerging needs, possible solutions, and resources. In this time of crisis, it is even more important to work together with determination.

The Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani intends to value and support Third Sector Organizations (TSOs) and local agri-food sector companies by creating alliances and providing them with a set of tools to increase their social impact and economic and environmental sustainability.

For this reason, the call for ideas and partners aims to identify ideas and organizations that promote, through food: opportunities and places for aggregation and sharing to increase social cohesion; socio-occupational inclusion of the most vulnerable citizens; strengthening of sustainable and socially responsible local production activities.
