Stakeholders and institutions collaborating for the well-being of adolescents: the beginning of the co-design process for the Child Municipality Policy
During the meeting, both the Sfide project and the Child Municipality Policy initiative were introduced, the latter being a co-designed municipal policy that will actively involve stakeholders and the young people of Mazara del Vallo. Among the key speakers, Councillor with responsibility for Participation Neighbourhoods and Social Cohesion and Youth Policies Gianfranco Casale, representing the agreement between the Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani and the Municipality of Mazara del Vallo, emphasized the importance of building a collaborative network to develop policies that foster adolescent well-being.
Furthermore, Matteo Rizzuto, an expert in stakeholder engagement from LUMSA University, outlined the university's role in transforming the data collected throughout the project into qualitative and quantitative analyses, which will be crucial for the creation of effective, evidence-based policies
The October 14 meeting marks just the first step in a participatory process that will engage not only experts and local organizations but also the young people of Mazara del Vallo, who will actively contribute to the development of policies that meet their needs and aspirations.
