Memorandum of understanding signed with the Municipality of Paceco

Recently, the Fondazione di Comunità of Agrigento and Trapani and the Municipality of Paceco (TP) have inked a memorandum of understanding aimed at boosting joint actions for local development through co-design. This agreement, sealing the deal until the end of 2025, sets an example of how third-sector entities and public administration can team up for the common good.
The goal of this agreement is to particularly promote joint actions in various areas: community empowerment, with a focus on the youth, capacity building for public administration and third-sector entities, sustainability, inclusion, and cohesion, digital and ecological transitions, as well as the enhancement of cultural heritage. It aims to push forward local development through co-design activities and delve into funding opportunities, including the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, local cooperation funding, and Euro-Mediterranean cooperation funding, to achieve shared objectives.
At the signing ceremony were not only the President of the Foundation, Pietro Basiricò, and Mayor of Paceco Aldo Grammatico, but also councilors Pietro Cusenza, Marilena Barbara, and Danilo Fodale, along with consultant Michele Asta.
Pietro Basiricò, President of the Community Foundation, stated, "We were eager to sign this agreement to promote collaboration between the third sector and public administration, aiming to incentivize concrete systemic actions that address the needs of our community in the foundation's areas of intervention: local development, inclusive education, social enterprise, and sustainability."
This alliance underscores the importance of developing a socio-economic planning network for the territory that leverages the skills and peculiarities of the third sector for the sustainable development of our communities.
