The Foundation Participates in 'GEN C': An Initiative by the National Agency for Youth and Ashoka Italy to Encourage Youth Protagonism
The Community Foundation is pleased to participate in "GEN C: generation changemakers," an initiative by the National Agency for Youth and Ashoka Italy aimed at fostering youth protagonism and establishing a community of girls and boys who are promoters of social change.
'GEN C' will take place on Wednesday, June 23, at 10:30 am, at the Condominial Museum of Tor Marancia in Rome (Viale di Tor Marancia 63), and the day will be inaugurated by the Minister for Youth Policies, Fabiana Dadone, who will visit the Museum together with a delegation of young changemakers.
"The 'Gen C' project will allow many young people to meet, network, and join a large community of changemakers," explains Lucia Abbinante, director of the National Agency for Youth. "Gen C aims to share the experiences of many girls and boys who, beyond Covid, are contributing to generating change through peer discussion and sharing, and by applying their skills to the benefit of their communities. We chose to return in person, in a beautiful place like Tor Marancia, which is a symbol and testament of change, social innovation, and grassroots participation."
"This Generation is called upon to face a crucial challenge: to create the conditions for a different development model, more inclusive and respectful of the Planet," declares Federico Mento, Director of Ashoka Italy. "We intend to bring out the stories and faces of those who, with their commitment, have given life to small and large collective adventures that are transforming communities every day."
The initiative involves numerous partners from the private sector, institutions, and third sector organizations that will provide their networks to support the Changemaker Generation. Through an "Open Mic," the partners will share their direct experiences of social change. The event will also feature live painting by street artists who will create a new work dedicated to "Gen C".

Following the project launch, a Call for Young Changemakers will be opened on the National Agency for Youth's website, followed by training and sharing sessions.
