With "Pòllini", Innovative Realities Design the Sicily of Tomorrow

On Saturday, September 18, in Trapani, within the charming Liberty setting of the Casina delle Palme, the event “Pòllini – Designing the Sicily of Tomorrow” took place. It was a day of co-planning organized by the Community Foundation of Agrigento and Trapani, Beehive – Valore Sud, Sicilian Valley, Trapani for the Future, and Cultivators of Beauty.
During the event, Gregory Bongiorno, president of Sicindustria; Antonio Perdichizzi, Founder of Isola in Catania and Tree; Professor Enzo Giuseppe Munna, member of the innovation task force for the Ministry of Education; and Elena Militello, president of the South Working Association – Working from the South, took part.
“Pòllini was an opportunity to come together around three worktables to create joint projects on the themes of South Working, Training and Education, and Youth Entrepreneurship,” explains Sergio Parisi, co-founder of Beehive.
22 Sicilian realities including entities, companies, foundations, and startups decided to make a concrete commitment to improving Sicily in terms of innovation and work. The participants will continuously dialogue for the realization of the projects that emerged from the three worktables of “Pòllini”, with the hope of blooming new flowers through the sharing of common goals.
“Being a community means building and taking care of alliances of trust and common work. In Trapani, we worked together to imagine and create projects with a concrete impact on people's lives, especially those who struggle the most,” declared Giuseppe La Rocca, Director of the Community Foundation.
The “Pòllini” event was made possible thanks to the support of the Con il Sud Foundation and with the help of partners including Sicindustria, the Municipality of Trapani, ELIS, and the Solidalia Consortium.
