Project objective
Our goal is to bridge the skills gap in the tourism sector regarding the green transition and the adoption of sustainable practices, providing agile tools to train representatives of DMOs (Destination Management Organizations). The aim is to promote significant impacts on environmental preservation and foster the development of sustainable tourism.
Target audience
The project targets DMOs, tourism professionals, government bodies responsible for tourism development, environmental protection and education, educational institutions and local communities.
Activities
The project promotes four main actions to guide the green transition and foster sustainable tourism:
Creation of specific guidelines for the transfer of knowledge and experience on the vertical and horizontal aspects of sustainability in tourism among Member States. The aim is to identify and map the most relevant sustainability practices in the tourism sector. The guidelines will be translated into the partners' languages and disseminated via social media, websites, networks and DMOs involved.
Development of a training programme to equip DMOs with key sustainability skills, helping them to manage local challenges. This professional course on sustainable tourism will promote the development of low-impact value chains and the application of the circular economy model in tourism, optimising resource consumption and reducing environmental impact.
Development of a skills development roadmap to support the creation of training paths. This document will include the training materials (nuggets), which will be distributed subsequently to create green skills among DMOs.
Training of trainers, involving experts from each partner country, in particular from European DMOs, to promote and use the training materials in their daily activities and awareness campaigns.
All content will be available free of charge and easily accessible through the development of an online platform, which will allow users to personalise their learning path and use the materials flexibly, adapting them to their specific needs.

6 DMOs (Destination Management Organization) directly involved in project activities.
20 tourism professionals directly involved in training.
30 professional organisations participating in scouting activities to increase networking and promote good practices in sustainable tourism.
Over 1000 people reached through the partnership's various channels.

Through the use of artificial intelligence and innovative digital tools, the initiative intends to provide new skills to agricultural professionals and improve the training offer in vocational education and training (VET). With a collaborative approach between European institutions, agricultural producers and educators, the project seeks to strengthen the European network in viticulture, increase individual competitiveness and ensure an inclusive and sustainable transition towards new models of agroecological management.
