Bando Ripartenze Inclusive: lavori in corso alla Parrocchia San Giuseppe di Castellammare del Golfo

Nelle prossime settimane vi racconteremo l'avvio dei sei progetti finanziati dal nostro bando Ripartenze Inclusive e da voi grazie al crowdfunding di comunità.

Oggi è la volta della Parrocchia San Giuseppe di Castellammare del Golfo, in provincia di Trapani. Con il progetto Il Buon Samaritano la Parrocchia con la Caritas parrocchiale e la Bottega del Sorriso, potranno servire meglio famiglie e persone che vivono una situazione di fragilità di Castellammare del Golfo.

In queste ultime settimane sono stati in corso i lavori con cui si stanno ristrutturando i locali che ospiteranno: il magazzino per alimenti, vestiario, giocattoli e altri beni di prima necessità per le persone che vivono una situazione di fragilità; ma anche il centro di ascolto e di assistenza per garantire il tanto necessario sostegno morale, oltre che materiale.

Grazie a questa riqualificazione degli spazi, la Parrocchia San Giuseppe si sta dotando di un deposito più grande, sicuro e senza barriere architettoniche, arredato con strumenti e strutture funzionali: stanno infatti acquistando frigoriferi, scaffalature, computer per gestire gli archivi, armadi per il vestiario. Così, i volontari potranno operare con più cura e potranno accompagnare più persone e famiglie rispettando il distanziamento fisico richiesto dall’attuale momento storico.

La Parrocchia San Giuseppe, nel frattempo, non ha fermato i propri servizi di volontariato, a dimostrazione di come questi siano la spina dorsale delle comunità, non solo durante le crisi.

Una buona prosecuzione di lavori alla Parrocchia e ai volontari che si fanno prossimi alle persone che vivono una situazione di fragilità.

In the coming weeks, we will tell you about the launch of the six projects funded by our Inclusive Restart call and by you through community crowdfunding.

Today we highlight the San Giuseppe Parish in Castellammare del Golfo, in the province of Trapani. With the project Il Buon Samaritano (The Good Samaritan), the Parish, along with the parish Caritas and the Bottega del Sorriso, will be better able to serve families and individuals living in fragile situations in Castellammare del Golfo.

In recent weeks, work has been underway to renovate the premises that will host: a warehouse for food, clothing, toys, and other essential goods for people living in fragile situations; as well as a counseling and assistance center to provide the much-needed moral, as well as material, support.

Thanks to this refurbishment of the spaces, the San Giuseppe Parish is equipping itself with a larger, safer, and barrier-free storage facility, furnished with functional tools and structures: they are indeed purchasing refrigerators, shelving, computers to manage archives, and cabinets for clothing. Thus, volunteers will be able to operate with more care and will be able to assist more people and families while respecting the physical distancing required by the current historical moment.

In the meantime, the San Giuseppe Parish has not stopped its volunteer services, demonstrating how these are the backbone of communities, not only during crises.
