Il mondo ha perso Elsa Peretti, grande designer e filantropa
Lo scorso 19 marzo 2021 è morta Elsa Peretti all’età di ottant’anni a Sant Martí Vell, villaggio della Catalogna che tanto le stava a cuore.
Elsa Peretti è stata designer di gioielli e il suo nome è profondamente legato a Tiffany & Co. Le sue collezioni per la Maison internazionale hanno innovato il mondo del design del gioiello e ispirato intere generazioni. La sua era una visione da artista, tanto che sue creazioni sono esposte nei musei più importanti del mondo.
Elsa Peretti non è stata soltanto grande designer. La sua vita è stata anche un prezioso esempio di filantropia per il mondo con un ininterrotto supporto ad iniziative culturali, scientifiche ed educative, oltre che per la difesa dei diritti umani. Nel 2000 ha creato un ente filantropico, dedicato alla memoria del padre: la *Fondazione Nando ed Elsa Peretti con cui ha sostenuto un gran numero di progetti nel mondo per la promozione dei diritti umani e civili*.
La notizia della sua morte lascia un grande vuoto, non solo negli ambienti del design e della filantropia.

Her vision was that of an artist, to the extent that her creations are displayed in the world's most important museums.
