Il Toolkit di BeYOU: uno strumento per guidare la tua comunità verso il cambiamento e lo sviluppo sostenibile
Il **Toolkit Educativo sulla Generatività Sociale e lo Sviluppo Comunitario Guidato dai Giovani** è una risorsa digitale ideata per supportare giovani leader e operatori giovanili nella promozione di iniziative di sviluppo comunitario sostenibile. Nato nell'ambito del progetto europeo **BeYOU - Boosting Sustainability and Social Change through Youth-Led Community Development**, questo strumento offre una guida pratica su come coinvolgere i giovani nella creazione di iniziative sociali innovative, promuovendo la loro partecipazione attiva e responsabile all'interno delle comunità.
BeYOU, finanziato dal programma Erasmus+ e coordinato dalla Fondazione Comunitaria di Agrigento e Trapani, si propone di valorizzare il ruolo dei giovani come protagonisti del cambiamento sociale e dello sviluppo sostenibile nelle loro comunità.Il progetto ha sostenuto l'implementazione e la valutazione di 20 iniziative di sviluppo sostenibile ideate da giovani tra i 18 e i 25 anni, con il supporto di operatori giovanili dai 25 ai 35 anni.
A cosa serve il toolkit?
Il Toolkit Educativo fornisce risorse e strumenti che possono essere facilmente replicati in altre comunità europee. Disponibile in 5 lingue (EN, IT, ES, RO, GR), il toolkit si basa sui concetti di Generatività Sociale e Sviluppo Comunitario, cornice teorica attraverso cui viene mostrato come l’adozione di un approccio capacitante, come quello adottato nel progetto BeYOU, possa generare un impatto duraturo delle iniziative sociali.
L’aspetto più rilevante del toolkit, infatti, è costituito dall’illustrazione del programma dell'Incubatore di Comunità Giovanile, una guida operativa che accompagna i giovani passo dopo passo nella creazione, gestione e sviluppo di progetti di sviluppo locale. La guida esplora la Teoria del Cambiamento e include strumenti per la Gestione dei Progetti, fornendo strumenti pratici e metodologie per trasformare i bisogni dei giovani in progetti concreti e sostenerli dalla fase di ideazione fino alla realizzazione delle iniziative con indicazioni su pianificazione, monitoraggio e valutazione.
Infine, il toolkit presenta gli esempi di Iniziative Giovanili già avviate in diverse comunità europee attraverso BeYou, con l'obiettivo di ispirare e offrire modelli replicabili anche in altre regioni.

Il Toolkit Educativo non è solo una risorsa formativa, ma anche uno strumento operativo. Gli operatori giovanili possono utilizzarlo per formare i giovani a sviluppare competenze utili nella progettazione, nella gestione e nel monitoraggio di progetti sociali. Inoltre, fornisce strumenti per misurare l'impatto delle iniziative e offre strategie su come mantenere vive e sostenibili le iniziative nel tempo.
Il toolkit rappresenta un ponte tra teoria e pratica, offrendo ai giovani la possibilità di diventare agenti di cambiamento all'interno delle loro comunità, contribuendo così a uno sviluppo più equo, inclusivo e sostenibile in Europa.

BeYou è un progetto selezionato e co-finanziato dal programma Erasmus+ nell’ambito dell’azione chiave 3 “European Youth Together”. The *Educational Toolkit on Social Generativity and Youth-Led Community Development*is a digital resource designed to support young leaders and youth workers in promoting sustainable community development initiatives. Developed as part of the European project *[BeYOU - Boosting Sustainability and Social Change through Youth-Led Community Development,](https://fcagrigentotrapani.it/en/progetto/beyou/)* this toolkit provides practical guidance on how to engage young people in creating innovative social initiatives, encouraging their active and responsible participation in their communities.
Funded by the Erasmus+ program and coordinated by the Fondazione Comunitaria di Agrigento e Trapani, BeYOU aims to empower youth as key drivers of social change and sustainable development within their communities. The project supported the implementation and evaluation of 20 sustainable development initiatives, designed by young leaders aged 18-25, with the assistance of youth workers aged 25-35.
What is the purpose of the toolkit?
The Educational Toolkit offers resources and tools that can easily be replicated in other European communities. Available in five languages (EN, IT, ES, RO, GR), it is based on the concepts of Social Generativity and Community Development. It demonstrates how an empowering approach—like that used in the BeYOU project—can create a lasting impact on social initiatives.
A key feature of the toolkit is the Youth Community Incubator Program, a practical guide that walks young people through the creation, management, and growth of local development projects. It explains the Theory of Change and provides tools for Project Management, offering practical methodologies to turn youth needs into concrete projects and support them from ideation to implementation. The toolkit also includes guidance on planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
Finally, the toolkit showcases examples of youth-led initiatives already launched across various European communities through BeYOU, aiming to inspire and offer replicable models for other regions.
